    Kingspan AIR-CELL is the original
Australian made reflective insulation designed for the Australian climate and reflects up to 97% of radiant heat.

The Kingspan AIR-CELL Glareshield is a 7mm thick thermo reflective insulation roll, comprised of traditional bubble air cell technology, sandwiched by a highly reflective foil facing on the inner side and an antiglare facing on the other side. It is strong, tough and durable, making it a versatile product for many applications. It is fibre-free, non-allergenic and non-irritant, it is anti-bacterial and anti-fungal.

    CodeMark Certified

Kingspan AIR-CELL Glareshield® is CodeMark Certified for NCC compliance, designed to combat heat gain and heat loss in all three forms (radiation, convection and conduction), resulting in thermal performance superior to many conventional insulations.

    Locally Manufactured

AIR-CELL flexible insulation is Australian made, so it has no supply chain issues.  Its advanced thermal performance helps achieve a 7-Star NatHERS house energy rating and the rolls are quick and easy to install.

Q: What types of insulation are best for Australian homes?

Common types include fiberglass batts, rigid board, and reflective insulation. The best choice depends on your climate zone and specific needs.

Q: How much insulation do I need for my home?

The amount of insulation required depends on your home's location, size, and construction. Australian standards recommend different R-values (a measure of thermal resistance) for different climate zones.

Q: What is the R-value, and why is it important?

The R-value indicates the insulation's ability to resist heat flow. Higher R-values mean better insulation performance. It's crucial for energy efficiency and comfort.

Q: Will insulation keep my house cool?

Yes, insulation helps maintain a consistent indoor temperature by preventing heat from entering in the summer and retaining heat during the winter, thereby keeping your home cooler in hot weather.

Q: How can I tell if my home is under-insulated?

Signs include fluctuating indoor temperatures, high energy bills, and drafts. An energy audit can also help assess your insulation levels.

Q: Can I install insulation myself?

Most types of insulation can be DIY projects, assess your abilities as most DIY'ers can achieve an effective installation.

Q: What are the benefits of insulating my home?

Benefits include improved energy efficiency, reduced heating and cooling costs, enhanced comfort, and a smaller environmental footprint.

Q: How long does insulation last?

Properly installed insulation can last for decades. However, factors like moisture, pests, and settling can reduce its effectiveness over time.

Q: Are there any government rebates or incentives for installing insulation?

Some State and Federal programs offer rebates and incentives for energy-efficient home improvements, including insulation. Check with local authorities for any current offers.

Q: Does insulation help with soundproofing?

Yes, certain types of insulation, such as fiberglass batts, can reduce noise transmission, providing a quieter indoor environment.

Q: What should I consider when choosing insulation materials?

Consider factors such as R-value, material cost, installation method, environmental impact, fire resistance, and whether the material suits your specific climate zone.
