Engineered for Australia’s demanding metal-roof conditions, the HIO Heavy Duty Foil Roofing Blanket pairs a high-density glasswool blanket with a rugged foil-laminate facing to deliver triple-action performance: superior thermal resistance, proven acoustic dampening and industry-leading condensation control. Slash summer heat gain and winter heat loss through the roof, and keep the foil surface warm enough to dramatically reduce moisture build-up under cladding
HIO Roofing Blanket delivers confidence by combining proven thermal performance with robust foil protection that stands up to Australia’s toughest roofing conditions.
Energy Efficiency
High loft glasswool traps air pockets to provide declared R-values of R1.3, minimising conductive and radiant heat transfer through metal roofing and cutting heating and cooling load year-round.
The reflective foil facing deflects up to 95 % of infrared heat, working in tandem with bulk insulation to stabilise indoor temperatures.
Condensation Control
Positioned directly beneath roof sheeting, the blanket lifts the dew-point away from steel, so the foil surface stays warmer and less prone to condensation droplets that can damage plasterboard ceilings or foster mould.
Fire & Bushfire Resistance
Glasswool core is non-combustible; foil meets flammability ≤ 5 per BCA, enabling use in BAL-40 metal-roof assemblies under AS 3959
Heavy-duty foil laminate resists puncture and tear during installation—ideal for high-wind and coastal sites.

Where do we deliver?
- $99 metro delivery (within 60 km of the CBD) for insulation products in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Canberra.
- $165 delivery for selected insulation products to Canberra–Goulburn–Moss Vale, Central Coast & Newcastle, and the Illawarra region.
- Wall cladding delivery: $120 metro Perth / $275 metro Melbourne.
- Warehouse pickup: please contact customer support.
How long does delivery take?
- Standard delivery: 2 working days.
- Orders placed before 10 am are eligible for next working day delivery (where available).
